How To Start Xproctor

Run Xproctor.
For PC: Run it from your desktop or “Start” menu.
For Mac: Go to Finder -> Applications -> Xproctor.
Xproctor’s window will open, and after few seconds the word “connected!” will appear in blue. Then enter your credentials as follows:
Proctor ID:
Password:
Select School: From the drop menu select your institution

Enter “Group” and “SubGroup” fields according to the instructions you will be receiving from the instructor if any.

How To Upload Photo

Run Xproctor.

For Mac: Go to Finder -> Applications -> Xproctor.

Xproctor’s window will open, and after few seconds the word “connected!” will appear in blue. Then enter your credentials as follows:

Password:
Select School: From the drop menu select your institution
Leave “Group” and “SubGroup” fields blank and press the “Login” button

You will be presented with an Accept Agreement Window which has two buttons. Please select the “Update Profile” button. A window will be displayed where you can change your password and upload your photo.

Press anywhere on the silhouette to upload your photo. Then Press “Done”.
You will be returned to the Accept Agreement Window. Please close the window; you are finished updating your profile.

How To Use Webcam On a PC/MAC

All laptops have integrated webcam that can be utilized to take a photo. All operating system windows 7,8,10, and Mac OS have a utility to run the webcam where you can take a photo and save it on your desktop. If for some reason you do not have the webcam utility, you may download one from www.manycam.com

How To Take a Profile Photo For Xproctor

How Do I Know If Xproctor Worked For Me

If you successfully started Xproctor, entered your credentials, and first window appeared and you have accepted the agreement, then Xproctor worked. You will notice “X” in the tray (for Mac will be on the top) and for Windows will be at the bottom. You may have to click “hidden show icon” symbol to show more symbols and you will see “X”. After your proctored exam, you may click the “X” and exit if it has not stopped by itself.

Mac - I Get An Error When I Try To Download Air Or Xproctor

Most likely the issue is with security set up on Mac. Follow the following steps:
1- go to “System Preferences…”
2- Select “Security & Privacy”
3- in the lower left corner, click the lock to make changes
4- Enter your password
5- Change “Allow apps downloaded from:” to “Anywhere”
6- Close window

This will allow you download Xproctor
